Jason LeFevers has been a Licensed Massage Therapist for 3 years and is the owner of Unseen Touch Massage. Jason has been totally blind for 10 years now. While in the U.S. Air Force, he was in an automobile accident and lost his vision. As a result he was forced into medical retirement from the service. However, as he was young, motivated and capable, Jason wanted to keep working. As a veteran, Jason received rehabilitation related to his blindness at the West Haven Blind Rehabilitation Center, in West Haven, CT, a residential program where he stayed for 7 weeks working on adjustment to blindness, and learning adaptive techniques for doing routine daily tasks. He is a graduate of the Baltimore School of Massage. Before starting his own business, Jason was employed as a massage therapist by Massage Envy Spa, a chain of massage and beauty establishments throughout the country. He and his wife renovated a portion of their home with a separate entrance, a waiting area, and work space so he could start his own business. Jason can do almost any kind of massage, from relaxation massages to helping heal injuries. He is skilled in the following kinds of massages: Deep Tissue massage, Swedish massage, Sports massage, Russian sports massage, Reflexology, and Cranial Sacral Therapy. To manage the business end of things, Jason uses speech output software called JAWS with his computer to maintain notes on clients and billing, an iPhone, and a Braille writer for labeling client files. Jason is also a great fan of judo. He practices and competes in judo and Brazilian jujitsu. He has also done a few powerlifting competitions since losing his vision.
